- The floating markets in the Mekong Delta are no tourist markets but wholesale markets where produce of the Mekong Delta like fruits and vegetables are traded. For this reason the number of boats on the market fluctuates depending on harvesting seasons and market demand. Furthermore, modern wholesale markets are becoming more popular in Vietnam. This can result in decreasing numbers of boats being present on the markets.

We had a great 2 day cruise. The crew was very discreet, our thoughtful guide, nice, gave us a lot of explanations. The boat was beautiful. The meals on board and at the local house were very good. We discovered things differently. Superb!

We booked this cruise because it seemed the most interesting of all available Mekong delta cruises. I asked whether vegetarian food would be available and they said yes. The cruise was much better than we expected, more interesting and more fun. The staff of our boat were so friendly and helpful. The guide knew so much about plants and fruits and took us to visit local families. They respected that we didn't want to see fish or animal markets. Everything was so well organized with a lunch at a beautiful local villa in a large garden, a candlelight dinner just for us two in a historic building... bicycle excursions, small boat excursions... If you have the chance to do this cruise, go!

We recently overnighted on the sampan, with another couple, and we just loved it. Had a great guide and very attentive crew. We did wonder where we were going when we got off the transport and were led down a driveway, that led to the sampan. The sampan itself was lovely, the rooms are good with all ammenities, you share a bathroom with the other bedroom, the lounge is great to sit in and watch the world go by. We enjoyed the trips to the candy factory, brick factory and Towns. The food was great, good selection of food for lunch and breakfast. We had dinner at the ancient house, and this was lovely. It was a great way the travel and see life along the river, would thoroughly recommend to others.
