Overview

Lang Co Bay (Phu Loc District, Thua Thien Hue Province) is 30 km south of Da Nang City and 70 km north of Hue City, once recognized as one of the most beautiful bays in the world in 2009.

Lang Co Bay has a length of 42.5 km, is an almost pristine bay located at the foot of Hai Van Pass, with a gorgeous beach, magnificent blue water, and a diverse and rich ecosystem. 

There are also the vast tropical forests on the undulating mountains, located between the mountains and the sea and Lap An lagoon spreads out in an attractive area. 

This is one of the famous landscapes and tourist sites of Thua Thien Hue province, considered by King Khai Dinh as a fairytale place. 

In addition to the values that nature has bestowed, Lang Co Bay is also a part of the central heritage road from Phong Nha Cave, Hue Ancient Capital to Hoi An Ancient Town and My Son Sanctuary; lied on the East-West economic corridor axis; is one of the 3 largest tourist areas in Vietnam in the overall tourism development plan of Vietnam in the period 2001 - 2010.

Lang Co beach has long been famous for beautiful natural conditions and landscapes with the white sand beach of more than 10 km long. The beach is very suitable for swimming and diving. 

Located adjacent to Lang Co beach is Hai Van mountain - Hai Van Quan, a famous landscape of Vietnam. Along the foot of Hai Van mountain, Lang Co beach has coral reefs, lobster and a variety of high-value seafood. In that area, there is also Son Tra island, which also preserves many kinds of wild plants and animals. Behind the beach is Lap An lagoon and Bach Ma mountain range. All of these factors bring Lang Co great potential for developing many types of tourism: vacation, scuba diving, explore the dynamic system - wild plants.

From Lang Co, on beautiful days, visitors can admire the landscape of Bach Ma National Park. On National Highway 1 from Hue to Da Nang, about 60km from Hue, located in May Tay, there is an ideal beach and resort named Canh Duong. 

Besides, Lang Co area is oriented towards long-term development with Chan May-Lang Co economic zone and deep-water port approved by the Prime Minister to ensure sustainable and comprehensive development.
